Ayurveda’ treatise on taste and Triphala

The Chopra Centre highlights one interesting aspect of Triphala, Drawing on the Ayurveda’s exposition on how the taste of food has inputs for ensuring that our body will be in a balanced state. The article highlights how Triphala helps the body achieve equilibrium. The science behind taste as an indicator of well being is that our plasma cells are the first recipients of nourishment as our food digests. According to Ayurveda, the plasma holds all six tastes (or the nourishment associated with each taste) within it. In order to have healthy, nourishing plasma to feed other body tissues, one must try to get a steady supply of all six tastes. Triphala contains the following tastes: Sour, Pungent, Bitter, Astringent, Sweet and the associated nourishment needed by the body. It is this dynamic that allows the taste-holding Triphala to have its unique effect.

Triphala is an active ingredient in Branolia Chemical Work’s ayurvedic liver tonic Livonia and Branolia’s Bellytone. As claimed by the Chopra center on the effects of Triphala on the digestive system remains central in the effects of both Branolia’s Livonia and Branolia’s Bellytone on the digestive tract and in addition for the overall health and well being.
