Pattern of Courses offered in Diploma of Engineering
Diploma in Engineering courses is generally for a period of three years.Some courses are of four-year duration where three years are for study and one year for industrial internship.The minimum qualification required to enroll in a diploma in engineering course is passing the tenth standard examination with a minimum of 35% in Maths and Science subjects.
A student, however, can get a direct entry into a B.Tech and B.E program directly into the second year under the lateral entry scheme. If a student is able to clear the LET( Lateral Entry Test) he can directly enter a B.E/B.Tech course.
